DSP [Software Lead Engineer] – Audio BU
The Consumer Audio Amplifier product line is hiring an Audio DSP firmware engineer to support its Smart Amplifier products. In this role you will be part of a team that develops and implements real-time audio processing solutions to deliver innovative audio and speech experience through audio amplifiers. Candidate will be responsible for porting Audio algorithm and audio framework on variety of DSPs and SoC platform. The role involves porting, optimizing, debugging testing of Matlab, embedded C source code with an emphasis on audio applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Must have exposure and development experience on one or more SIMD and VLIW architectures like ARM-NEON, Intel SSE and AVX, TI C6x DSP, Qualcomm/Cadence DSP etc
- Must have Strong C/C++ programming skills
- Experience in Development, Porting and Optimization of Audio algorithms
- Proficient in Intrinsic or Assembly based optimization methods using instruction pipeline and latency optimal designs
- Very good problem solving, programming and debugging skills
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated to learn and explore new areas
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, ECE
8+ years’ experience in embedded audio platforms
Excellent C/C++ coding skills
Optimizing code for programmable DSP’s
MATLAB, C and C++ language experience required
Understanding of signal processing, DSP fundamentals, preferably in audio
Understanding of digital filters is nice to have skill
Preferred Qualifications:
C and C++ programming knowledge
Exposure to CNN/LSTM based Deep learning for is a plus
System Profiling tools experience
Strong debugging/trouble-shooting skills of embedded systems
