Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AWS Administrator to manage our Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, specifically within AWS environments, and will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AWS Infrastructure Management:
  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and Lambda services.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost of AWS resources.
  • Implement and manage security policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of AWS services.
  • Automation and Scripting:
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
  • Automate routine tasks and workflows using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  • Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using CloudWatch, AWS Config, and other monitoring tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AWS services and applications.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery:
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies for AWS resources.
  • Ensure data integrity and availability through regular backups and failover testing.
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and support of AWS-based applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of AWS infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and cost metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • years of experience in AWS administration and cloud infrastructure management.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent certification is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services and best practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Strong understanding of network and security concepts within AWS.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
