Job Description
Project Controller
Location India
Kalypso is seeking a Project Controller in India to help the Operations Team primarily with internal work. This person may contribute to a variety of projects including, but not limited to the following
Main Responsibilities
Primary duties of a Project Controller for a group of executives’ client service engagements include
- Collect and manage master versions of Proposals, SOWs, PIWs, MSAs, POs, and any other project documentation
- Run weekly reports detailing the status of each project, including actual billings and expenses vs planned budget
- Conduct analytical review of project reports; evaluating projects’ status and supplying partners with forecast and correction measures if needed
- Create and submit invoices
- Compile expense receipts from project team, when necessary, to submit with expense invoices
- Collections and unbilled receivables management
- Time sheet and expense approvals
- Monitor and report on budget deviations
- Period reporting requirements for assigned practice
- Work with finance team and other project controllers for project updates and process improvements
- Monitor and update CRM opportunities
- Contribute to the development of project deliverables, when necessary
Secondary duties may include
- Coordinating calendars, appointments, and travel
- Forecasting executives’ bookings on engagements
- Various internal projects and initiatives relating to practice, executive, or operations team
Requirements & Qualifications
- Flexible hours to accommodate Asia Pacific clients
- Reports to an office daily
- 2-3 years experience preferred
- BA, BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Math
- Strong academic performance minimum 87.5 GPA highly preferred
- Bookkeeping experience
- Previous experience invoicing and managing account receivable, SAP experience a plus
- Experience with an understanding of VAT (Value-Added Tax)
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Power Point
- Fluent in Business English (speaking and writing) required
- Demonstrated ability to work independently without day to day oversight
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage in a virtual organization
- Superior analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to establish effective working relationships in a team environment
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure, adhere to deadlines and can juggle multiple requests from various executives
