We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of MSS Business Data Analyst.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Control with data sets as required by XVA use cases.
  • Ability to override data with changes captured in a detailed audit trail; Data is consistent, accurate and timely, provided within a quality assurance framework; Utilising trusted and non-trusted data sources, delivered within a control framework.
  • Provide an accompanying data dictionary, detailing any implemented filters and business rules (data logic); Support the delivery of key projects within the CVA Data Services Portfolio; Support information gathering, analysis and documentation of the ‘Current’ and future state where required.
  • Coordinate and manage the design and documentation for the project;Track and follow up on owned activities in alignment with the Product Owner & Project team; Support each programme workstream and impacted user group in effecting the transition from implementation into Business-As-Usual.
  • Plans effectively around delivery constraints and optimises the plan to maximise benefits and minimise risk. Develops the plan within constraints, considering the delivery approach, key milestones and dependencies within the plan, requirements and scope, effort and resources, budgets and quality.
  • Able to analyse in a timely manner a request around data extraction, or data quality issues, and able to engage with the relevant parties in order to resolve the request and communicate accordingly with the different parties involved.
  • Propose long term and strategic solutions to data issues from the CVA Data Service; Cover any incident analysis alongside IT and other GBGFs, and own the post incident reviews
  • Obtains sponsor and stakeholder sign-off for deliverables, formally closes project, assesses stakeholder satisfaction and captures feedback. Captures key learns from each project and feeds back into Transformation methodologies and best practice.
  • Articulates to stakeholders the targeted benefits and takes joint responsibility for benefits realization;Manages the business sponsor, working with them to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Plans and manages the implementation of the change, to ensure business benefits are realised and that the transition from current state to target state is smooth. Ensuring that the organisation and other change audiences are ready, willing and able to function in the new business environment.
  • Works closely with delivery partners on planning, design and estimating, bringing together delivery and business partner teams; actively managing dependencies between these teams and other projects and programmes.
  • Sets the pace and operating rhythm, driving a culture of achievement and ensures pace by identifying and removing barriers to project success; Promotes pace and energy within the team and leads by example

  • Experience of working on a global programme; Capital Markets knowledge, in particular counterparty credit risk is beneficial.
  • Risk and Front Office Domain knowledge; Counterparty data knowledge (legal entity hierarchies, sector mappings etc.).
  • Good communicator and the ability to build relationships with desk / trading heads /Risk is a must.
  • Any relevant local banking qualifications such as ACIB (Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers) – Optional
  • Excellent understanding of the project lifecycle; Strong understanding of product management
  • Excellent knowledge of financial institutions, global markets, trading environments and traded risk; of different functions within a Risk organisation.
  • Strong understanding of how change drives benefits for the bank, its customers and other stakeholders
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders of different seniority, diverse cultures & geographical locations.
  • Data analysis skills and experience
  • Good stakeholder management experience, especially impactful communication, influencing and running project governance Implementation, change management and benefits realisation.
  • Multiple strong examples of the delivery of on time and on budget projects that achieve business case stated outcomes – a driver with bias towards delivery at pace and controlling project outcomes.
  • Worked in a banking environment and change projects in a Risk or Front Office function.
  • Implementation, change management and benefits realisation.
  • Experience defining and documenting organisations & business process models.
  • Experience dealing with support activities and able to come up with constructive solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and being solution oriented
