Role Overview

The Assistant Manager – Source to Pay is responsible for supporting the tactical execution of eSourcing activities, optimizing business value, and ensuring adherence to procurement policies. This role involves working closely with the business supplier managers and local supply teams to execute purchase orders (POs), amend POs, generate MIS reports, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and amend purchase orders (POs) in alignment with approved requisitions.
  • Validate the sources of PO inflow (EDI queue, fax/email inbox) regularly.
  • Analyze order trends and identify discrepancies for corrective action.
  • Prepare and present MIS reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members to improve performance and skills.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Identify post-contract opportunities and collaborate with supplier managers for additional value delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and work across multiple categories with SMEs.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduation in any field with meaningful work experience in a sourcing or procurement role.
  • Experience with indirect services in sourcing and procurement is preferred.

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and exposure to ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Ariba.
