Job Role Overview

The Senior Executive in Information Security at Birlasoft will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company’s infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing technical support, performing incident response, analyzing network threats, and helping resolve security issues within defined service-level agreements (SLA).   • Monitor SIEM systems and logs for potential security alerts related to network threats or compromises.
  • Assist with triaging automated service requests and internal security requests.
  • Engage in active cyber hunting to identify and mitigate known and unknown network threats.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve critical security issues rapidly.

Skills & Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • A University degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Information Security.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Proficiency in security frameworks like Kill Chain, Diamond Model, MITRE ATTACK, NIST Incident Response, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud Computing fundamentals, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and Firewalls.
  • Understanding of network security concepts, including TCP/IP, operating systems, intrusion detection, and security protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in incident response and security monitoring tools (SIEM, intrusion detection systems).
