Your Role

  • Administer and maintain highly available database systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide support to business users to meet their enterprise data needs, facilitating efficient data access and utilization.
  • Collaborate with the ETL team to ensure effective data ingestion and maintain high data quality standards.
  • Design, build, and configure PostgreSQL databases on Linux environments, ensuring robust and scalable architecture.
  • Manage and optimize database performance, including backup and recovery processes, to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Develop and optimize PL/PostgreSQL, triggers, and stored procedures to enhance database functionality and performance. Ensure compliance with database server architecture standards and concepts to maintain system consistency and security.

What You Will Bring

  • 7+ years of experience as a DBA specializing in PostgreSQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of relational and dimensional database theory.
  • Hands-on experience with database administration, including backup and recovery.
  • Expertise in PL/PostgreSQL, triggers, materialized views, and stored procedures.
  • Understanding of high-availability technologies to ensure continuous database operations.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Bash scripting, and Python for database management and automation.
  • Expertise in SQL performance tuning and query optimization techniques to maximize database efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of database design principles, indexing, and normalization to create efficient and scalable databases.
